Forgiven is a haunting tale of mystery, faith and the intertwining of lives as each character seeks answers from God.

I grew up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, later moving to Florida. I am proud to say I'm an award-winning author, something I dreamed of my entire adult life. Reading was a major part of my life no matter what else was happening. I attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida but the important things in life were learned through experience.
I am a member of the National League of American Pen Women and a past president of that organization. I also belong to Florida Writer Association and found that organization very helpful. I have held workshops throughout the state of Florida on creative writing, how to write memoirs. Recently I was privileged to teach creative writing at South Florida Community College. I belong to the Heartland Cultural Alliance and work with the Friends of the Sebring Library. Helping budding authors is a reward I enjoy.

Quotes from my Readers
"I just finished Forgiven and found it a page turner. I really enjoyed the friendship and banter between Jack and Samuel. And I loved all the mystery and family connections that finally worked themselves out. It was a nicely planned and told story."
Ellinor Jensen, Poet
"I just finished your book 'Echoes'. I'm normally a finicky reader but I must confess…I couldn't put your book down! I especially enjoyed the way each character's life situation unfolded. Congratulations! Very well done!"
Pat Cook, Educational Technology, Martin County, Florida
"The dishes are piled up in the sink, the bed is unmade but I am on Chapter 13 of Nobody's Child and I cannot put the book down. These people are real!
Echoes was wonderful, too. I have not enjoyed a book so much. I usually read nonfiction and biography, thinking they are 'true' stories' but your books have given me a new experience."
Jane Redden, Stuart, Florida
Just read A Grandma for Christmas—what a sweet little story. I've never read a book from cover to cover that held my interest as Grandma did. I found myself saying I had to read to the end of the chapter, took it to the doctor's office…tried to find a quiet place for a few minutes to finish a chapter. I felt as if I knew Madison and Bitsy. I've never been a reader but now you've started something—I'm ready to buy another of your books. Linda Peck, Avon Park, Florida
A Grandma for Christmas
Sunny Serafino has written a lovely story of faith, love, family and redemption that will leave your heart happy. The story of two troubled, sad and lonely people, Madison, a single 40-ish woman and Bitsy, a four-year old girl, who are brought together by improbable circumstances and form a deep relationship is beautifully told.
The author has wonderful ways to bring you into the lives of Madison and Bitsy and their families and friends. This book is a real "can't put down."

Book Reviews
A Grandma for Christmas - review by Millie Richmond, author of Hildy.
A Grandma for Christmas is a heart warmer for any season, as one out-of-the-ordinary event drastically changes two lives forever. Sunny Serafino skillfully plunges into the female heart with this captivating and thought-provoking story of determination and love for a child. A page turner for sure.
Echoes — I just finished reading Echoes. It was another of those, "can't put it down" type of book. It keeps you reading and wanting more. The author keeps you guessing about how things are going to turn out. I think we can all relate to Lily's situation. I may read it again…I loved it. Kathryn Perry, Author of Boone's Creek
Shadows in the Heart — I recommend Shadows in the Heart for anyone who likes a plucky heroine who rises from adversity--in this case, the horror of an abusive marriage. The author explains in the preface that the story is based on personal experience. Shadows has suspense and enough descriptive detail to make the lives of the heroine and villain seem real. Linda Gould
Never Look Back — I thought this was perhaps the most action packed and suspensful of all of Serafino's books. From the moment Olivia starts out on her journey you just know that something dreadful is going to catch up with her and Serafino doesn't disappoint you. I particularly loved the way she worked a number of unique friendships into the story. She has captured the sense of survival beautifully. This book will both touch your heart and keep you on the edge of your seat Bette Crosby, Author of Girl Child, Port St. Lucie, Florida
A Grandma for Christmas — I just finished A Grandma for Christmas and I have tears in my eyes. It was the best story I have ever read. I couldn't wait to turn each page. Your words gave a picture of each person and the book kept me reading on and on. I finished it in two sittings. If I was a movie producer, I would make a movie from your book. Laurence Coppotelli, Sebring, Florida
A Grandma for Christmas — I found A Grandma for Christmas extremely inspirational, especially for families. The protagonist left her extreme humiliation behind and was 'born again' bouyed by the faith in a child's eyes. We watched Grandma's spirit soar from despondency to ecstacy with new relationships and peace. Even her close friend "Jo" found new meaning to her life.
I really enjoyed how the 'muffin' of snow capped the automobiles, and indeed, how much of the story revolved around taking sustenance. All of which is quite practical of course. I cried when she cried, I laughed when she laughed. Beverly Cook, Author, Port St. Lucie, Florida

Poetry
CERTAINTY
At night I listen to your steady breathing and I know now I am always safe.
Our eyes meet across the table and silently we renew the vows we made.
Every day we say "I love you" and our live is intensified with those simple words of promise.
When we walk you hold my hand - joining us then, as we are joined forever.
I'll always be with you.
I'll always love you.
